We believe all art should be seen, and all artists should get paid. There are 10 million people in the UK making art, but only 1,000 galleries. It’s our mission to get more beautiful art out into the world and onto the walls of people who will love it.
We know that 73% of people buying art think supporting local artists is important. That’s why Artesial allows you to search for and discover artists living and working near you.
Importantly, we charge a much lower commission than galleries: typically 50% less. That means you get more art for your money and the artist gets more money for their art. It’s a win-win.
Of course! The beauty of Artesial is the artist whose work you love could be living and working nearby. By arrangement, you can meet to see their art in your home, at their studio or another agreed space.
Sure. Fill in the contact form on the website and we’ll send your message instantly to the artist.
Payments are processed securely online in seconds, so neither you nor the artist need to carry cash. Once the payment has gone through, the artist will receive a confirmation that they’ve been paid and they’ll hand over your new piece of art.
We encourage people to meet their artists, but in some cases that’s not possible. Don’t worry! The price you pay also includes shipping anywhere in mainland UK. For more out-of-the-way places (e.g. a tree house in the Scilly Isles) speak to your artist.
When you pay through the site, you’re automatically protected if anything goes wrong with your purchase. We want you to be delighted with your art and your Artesial artist does too. If it just doesn’t suit, or if there’s anything wrong with it, just get in touch with your artist within seven days to arrange a return and a refund. See our terms and conditions for details
