If you look roughly north up the coastline from Largs, you'll see these hills jutting out from the Clyde coast. Initially, it was painted outside. In its earlier form it had a stormy sky. Over time, it became a warmer image. I added the figures looking towards the distant boat, the gulls in the air, the energy in the waves tumbling in from the sea. You wouldn't think it was a scene from Scotland. You get the feeling it's from some place where they get great weather but...heh..it's Scottish! Its on a canvas.
