A 'dance' on the road as riders suss each other out and decide when to make a move. The stress and what is at stake all plays a fascinating part in this racing game of chess.

The fragmented picture and certain pieces in the wrong place are my interpretation of that - and also as to how mistakes always fit in the bigger picture.
